We Met Johnny!
Back when we first started playing the John & Johnny clip, we got a call from a woman who said she was Johnny's wife. She told us that she and Johnny were coming to New York and wanted to meet with us for lunch. We were scared shitless because she didn't say if he was angry about us playing his video or not. So we met in Manhattan and everything seemed cool. Johnny wanted to see the video, so we brought a copy down and played it in a laptop. Notice how he isn't laughing.
But everything turned out okay. Johnny got a kick out of it. Best of all, he said he had plenty more footage from the AVN days, but he sounded reluctant to give it to us, even though we became fast friends.
Johnny regaled us with stories of the old AVN days - on-air marriage proposals, grueling 12 hour shifts, being left in the dark about the products until the last possible second, and so much more. We thought he should write a tell-all book.
He didn't give up much personal information, so we don't really know what he's doing these days. But we do know that it isn't home shopping.
